Binding Presentations and Proposals Without a Binding Machine

If you want to bind your presentations and proposals but don't have access to a binding machine, don't fret. It's possible to make your work look great without one. Here are a few things you can try:

  1. Color coil binding. Binding with color coils is totally possible even if you don't have a machine. All you need is some pre-punched paper, color coils, and a pair of coil crimpers. Just spin a coil through the holes in your document, trim down any excess coil at the ends, and turn the ends in with the crimpers. That's all there is to it.
  2. GBC ProClick and ZipBind spines. These supplies made by GBC make it easy to bind your documents without a machine whether you're in the office or on a business trip. The ProClick spines use the same hole pattern as wire spines while ZipBind supplies require a 19-hole pattern that's used with plastic combs. Both ProClick and ZipBind spines open and snap shut, so you can even edit your work after it's been bound.
  3. VeloBind. If your document requires a very secure binding, you should work with VeloBind supplies. Be sure to choose the 11-hole binding spines, covers, and pre-punched paper. Insert the prongs of the spine through the holes and snap off the ends once the prongs have come through the receiving strip. It couldn't be easier.
  4. Three-ring binders. If all you have on-hand is a supply of three-ring binders, you can definitely use them to bind your documents. These supplies are perfect for both long and short reports, presentations, and proposals. Plus, some binders have clear overlays so you can customize them to your heart's content.
  5. Screw posts. Finally, screw posts are are a great option, especially if your documents are long. Screw posts can bind work that's up to 5” thick and all you need are the screws themselves and pre-punched paper. Just thread the screws through the holes in the paper and secure them. It's quick and easy.

Each one of these methods is a great choice if you want to bind your documents without using a binding machine. They can help you save money and will definitely make your work look great. Check out these methods today.
