Tips and Tricks for Setting Up Your Tabletop Paper Jogger
A good paper jogger is the machine to use when you need a bunch of paper or envelopes to be completely flush. These powerful machines can process your documents by using strong vibrations to shift the paper into place. Some machines even use air to move the paper around. Using a paper jogger is pretty easy but here are some tips and tricks to make things even easier:
Place your jogger on a sturdy table that's strong enough to support 500 pounds or more. This isn't so much because the machine is heavy. It's just that a stronger table will be able to withstand the device's vibrations.
Don't put anything other than the jogger on the table. Also, make sure the table's surface is clean so the machine will stay in place during operation.
You should place a 13” x 16” piece of cardboard or carpet under the jogger. Doing so will soften the vibrations and reduce noise. It also helps ensure that your paper will be properly jogged.
The vast majority of joggers have pre-set settings to make operation as quick and easy as possible. However, you might want to adjust your machine's settings to adjust the angle of the paper bin or the intensity of the vibrations. The more your jogger vibrates, the more noise it will put out, so it can be helpful to make adjustments as necessary.
You need to be extremely careful when picking up and moving your jogger. You should always hold the bottom of it and never try to lift it up by grabbing the paper bin. If you grab the paper bin, there's a good chance that you'll throw the device out of alignment or possibly damage it.
Finally, you should never leave your jogger unattended while it's working.
Paper joggers are pretty easy to operate and these tips should make the experience easier than ever before. Give them a try the next time you need to jog your paper. Good luck!
