If you're in need of higher level of security for disposing of sensitive information, the Dahle CleanTEC 41634 paper shredder was designed for military, federal, state or local governments as well as Department of Defense contractors engaged in projects where National Security is an issue. This Security Level 6 machine features a cross cut shred size of 1mm x 4.7mm, and is able to reduce a single sheet of letter size paper into over 15,500 tiny particles. When it's time to replace the filter, or when the shred bag needs to be emptied, the simple-use command dial (which controls all of the machine's functions) will let you know. With the exclusive 3-ply CleanTEC Filtration system, 98% of fine dust particles are trapped and prevented from being released into the air, making your environment safer and cleaner. And the CleanTEC 41634 won't allow sheet capacity to be exceeded, as it is equipped with ESP (Electronic Sensing Protection), sensing how much paper you're trying to shred.

Dahle CleanTEC 41634 Shredder Review

Overview:

Dahle has always produced excellent paper shredders, so it's no surprise that their new CleanTEC series is made up of incredible devices. One of them is the 41634. Here's a look at its strengths and weaknesses:

Features/ Strengths:

The 41634 is a cross-cut shredder that offers the highest amount of protection possible. It has a Level 6 rating so it can be used to shred the most confidential of documents such as tax forms, medical records, and so on. The shreds it produces measure just 1 x 4.7 millimeters and you can shred up to 11 sheets at a time.
This shredder is one of Dahle's CleanTEC models and it has an air filtration system that will keep harmful paper particles out of the air in your office. This will help everyone at work stay healthy.
If you want a shredder that's safe to use, the 41634 is a great choice. This machine can stop automatically if there's ever an emergency. All you need to do is hit the top of the device or say �Stop!� and it will stop running.
This machine has a 45-gallon waste bin and you don't need to worry about overfilling it. The shredder has an ESP system that will alert you when the bin is almost full.
The 41634 runs quietly and it comes equipped with a continuous-duty motor so you can shred as much as you need to without the motor overheating.
Maintaining the 41634 is really easy and it won't take up much time at all. It comes with an automatic oiler so you can spend your time on more productive matters.
Like most Dahle shredders, this device comes with excellent warranty coverage. In general, parts and labor are covered for 2 years. However, the cutting mechanism is covered for as long as you own the machine.

Limitations/Weaknesses:

Due to this machine's capabilities and size, it's not really the best choice for small offices. In fact, this device measures 38� (height) x 29� (width) x 20� (depth) which means that it's huge. It's also heavy, weighing in at almost 200 pounds.
The 41634 is not the best device to use if you want to be able to shred a lot of paper at once. However, keep in mind that cross-cut shredders are designed to give you security rather than the ability to destroy a large amount of paper in seconds.

Recommendation:

The Dahle CleanTEC 41634 is one of the best high-security shredders currently available. It's rare to find a machine that offers such a high level of security while also being equipped with some terrific special features. All of these features � the CleanTEC air filtration system, the safety features, and ESP system � make this machine one of the most unique paper shredders on the market. It's true that this device is incredibly large and it doesn't have the highest shredding capacity, but that shouldn't be a concern if you need a high-security paper shredder for your busy office. Take a look at the 41634 to decide if it's right for your needs.
