Fellowes Callisto 125 Pouch Laminator Review

Are you looking for a new pouch laminator that has great features yet doesn't take up too much room? If so, you should check out the Fellowes Callisto 125. This is a brand new device that's easy to use and it's suitable for a number of projects. Check out its strengths and weaknesses to determine if it might be the device for you:

Strengths:

The Callisto 125 has a feed opening that's 12.5� wide, so it's perfect for a variety of documents including menus, certificates, and so on. The machine has feed entry guidelines to help you line up your items for flawless lamination.
This machine will heat up in only 5 minutes. It has four temperature settings including one for cold lamination. The cold setting is for heat-sensitive items such as photographs.
The Callisto 125 will work with pouches that are up to 5 mil thick. The machine has a unique Heat Swap system that allows you to switch between different heat settings without any problem. Also, the machine will shut off automatically so it won't overheat, and there's a reverse mode for taking care of pouch jams.
You will find that this device is safe to use because it has Fellowes' popular HeatGuard technology. This feature traps heat inside the machine so you can touch the exterior without burning yourself.
This laminator is pretty compact with dimensions of 4.25� (height) x 22.5� (width) x 6.25� (depth). It has a carrying handle for easy transport in case you ever need to move it around. Plus, this device looks great so it will be a nice addition to your office.
Finally, the Callisto 125 comes with a 2-year warranty for your peace of mind.

Weaknesses:

This device isn't really large enough for wide-format items. If you want to laminate large items, you might want to get a roll laminator for those special projects.
The Callisto 125 doesn't have a feed tray at the back of it. You will want to make sure you grab your items as soon as they come out of the device and move them aside so they can cool.
Unfortunately, this device won't work with really thick pouches. You should select a different laminator if you want to use pouches that are 7 mil or thicker.

The Fellowes Callisto 125 is a terrific pouch laminator for occasional office use. As you can tell from reading about its strengths, it has a number of special features such as the HeatGuard technology and the Heat Swap system. This device is easy to use and it produces great results, even when you're working with heat-sensitive items. Plus, the machine has a good warranty and it's not too large. However, this device might not be the best choice if you need to work with large items and/or thick pouches. However, if you don't, you'll find that the Callisto 125 is a solid laminator that can get the job done. Check it out today.
