ProductDescription

This 5:1 pitch color coil is designed for use with your 5:1 pitch coil punch for a special, tightly-wound coil binding. Available in 45 different colors, these 5:1 spirals provide a similar look and feel that you get with the more common 4:1 pitch coils. The primary difference is 5:1 pitch coil is designed for a hole pattern with five holes per inch (5:1). The tighter hole pattern offers a more elegant bind for your documents. Sold in quantites of 100, 5:1 pitch coils are available in sizes from 6mm up to 20mm in diameter (about 1/4" to about 3/4"). See below for a list of sizes and approximate capacities.
Please Note that most of our 5:1 pitch coil is made to order, is non-returnable, and can take an extra 2-3 business days to ship. If you need this product in a hurry, please give us a call for options before ordering.

5 to 1 Pitch Coil Review by Jessica

Seems like everyone carries 4:1 pitch coil but it is really hard to find five to one pitch. We really prefer the look of the tighter spiral and were really glad to discover that MyBinding carries these spirals in so many colors. We usually use Black or White but it is great to have options.

Welcome to MyBinding video. This is everything you need to know about spiral coil. First, there are sizes ranging from a 6mm diameter all the way to 50mm. The smallest size can hold up to 30 pages and the largest can hold up to 444. A great benefit to spiral coil is that the pages lay flat. Better yet, they fold nicely back to back and the choices of color is one of the largest in any type of binding. Standard size coil has a 4:1 pitch, which is compliant with its respected hole punches. The standard length of each coil is 12 inches. Coil should always be longer than the pages you're binding. There are also custom lengths up to 36 inches. With the extra length on each end, you finish off your book with special wire cutting crimpers. Once you're done, you'll have yourself a spiral coil bound book. For more demos, reviews and how-to's, go to MyBinding.com.
