Welcome to MyBinding video. Let’s have a look at modular punching. For many companies, one style of booklet is simply not enough or not enough any longer. With modular punching, you’re able to do multiple styles of binding with one machine. Many of the companies that we sell produce machines that can change out one die for another, simply sliding it out from the side or even approaching from the front or the top, you put it one die for the other. It’s generally very simple to do with unscrewing or unlatching just one or two knobs. Modular punch machines allow you to save space by only having one machine and save money by buying dies instead of complete new machines or systems for different styles. In addition, these modular machines tend to be a little higher end. They’re more durable and more flexible. Generally speaking, you have complete control over all the dies, how many you want in, where you would like them, and most of the machines have open throat design so you can really work with any size paper you need. Most of these systems come in electronic punches, however a few of them do come in manual punching. This could save you some money on your decision but will add more labor. If you have any questions at all, give us a call. Our customer service team would love to help you find the exact right modular system for your needs.
