This is the Carl’s Steel Spiral Wire Coil! You can find it it two sizes: the 9 mm size can fit up to 50 pages, and the 18mm size can fit up to 110 pages. When bound, pages lay flat. Better yet they lay back to back! After punching with either the Carl Ring Binding System, or any other 3:1 pitch punch machine, thread the coil through the first holes by hand. Here is a look at the difference between 4:1 plastic coil, and this 3:1 steel coil. Carl sells 4 different colors of wire coil, but not all colors have a 9mm sized option.
