Welcome to MyBinding video. What you see here is the Carl Personal Comb Binding System. I'm almost tempted to call it cute but it's too cool to be cute. Built-in punch and bind, this little thing can slip into your briefcase, your purse, your backpack, and everything you need to put together a presentation. It comes with a couple plastic combs, the punch itself, and the main work table. It's super simple to operate so let's watch it in action. First of all, if you lift the lid here, you'll see two magnets. This holds things in place as you punch. Lift the small tape on the back and it forms a trough for your paper. It can handle letter, legal, and oversized covers, and anything smaller of course. There's even simple measuring tools inside the trough for your sized projects. When everything is lined up, drop the top part and have the magnets touch, hold the project in place, bring down the back table, and you're ready to punch. The small handheld punch makes punching easy and allows for multiple lengths of paper. And the cool little groove structure on the back end of the magnet arm assures for perfect alignment every time. The magnet clamp holds everything in place as you work your way down all the way to the bottom and to the spine to completion. Lift the arm and the paper is punched. When you've run a test sheet and know how everything works, begin with your project. If you start with the cover's face up, make sure you punch everything face up. And take special care that paper's all the way flush against the trough in the back. Keep in mind this is a portable on the go punch and bind system so this can punch 6-8 sheets at a time and you need to punch multiple times for each set. But it's handy as all get out to pull out of your desk and put together your presentation that last minute. Binding happens at the front of the machine. Pull down the transparent plastic in the front and arrange your comb with the teeth facing up and drape it over the fence. Dropping down that magnet arm opens the teeth of the comb and you're ready to thread your project right unto those teeth. It is a small workspace so you'll need to do it in smaller batches. This machine does boast that it can handle binding a book of up to 70 sheets in length, however I think that would be a little bit cozy. Lifting the magnet arm closes the teeth, pull off your book, and you are done, not bad at all. There is really very little maintenance to this whole system but you'll need to dump out the chips in your puncher every now and then. That's it. That's the P2B Carl Personal Comb Binding System.
