Formax presents the Atlas C100 and C200 Automatic Feeding Creasers. The Atlas C100 and C200 are accurate, powerful, durable, easy to use auto feeding creasers that meet the quality demands of high-volume digital finishing. In today's print world, on-demand digital printing has become the standard for fast turnaround and short-run jobs. Finishing the piece properly for a professional high-quality look is a key part of the process. When it comes to folding digitally printed pieces, creasing is essential to avoid cracking and tearing on the folded edges. As shown here, without creasing the folded piece is cracked and looks of poor quality while the creased piece looks clean and professional. Accuracy, power, durability, and ease of use separate these Auto Feeding Creasers from all the rest. Both creasers feature a powerful air suction feed table with an alignment deck for consistent accurate feeding of paper weights up to 400 GSM and a 7-inch color touch screen for quick and easy setup and automatic adjustments. The difference between the C100 and C200 is larger sheet capacity up to 19 inches wide. Let's take a closer look at how these creasers work. There are five simple steps to setting the air feed table. Step 1, set the infeed gap, take two sheets of paper and slide them under the gate stop disk, then rotate the disk to adjust until there is a slight drag when pulling the paper back. Step 2, adjust the side guides for the paper size. Loosen the knobs and slide the guide wall in or out leaving about a sixteenth of an inch gap between the paper and the wall then tighten into position. Step 3, slide the rear guide into position so it's snug against the end of the paper stack. Step 4, adjust the side air volume so it elevates the paper stack and reduces friction. A variety of settings can be selected based on paper length and thickness. Step 5, adjust the suction that will pull in the paper more suction for the heavier stock, less for lighter stock. With the in feed adjusted, it's time to enter the creasing configuration. The Atlas C100 and C200 are pre-programmed for six popular crease types in three different sizes including a setting for perfect bound book covers. In addition, users can program and save an unlimited number of custom jobs. Using the touchscreen control panel, select the crease type and paper size. The crease settings will adjust automatically, switching between crease settings is a snap. Simply select the new crease type and press Enter. Let's take a closer look of the rugged and innovative design of the creaser matrix. The Atlas Creaser feature a heavy-duty creasing mechanism which utilizes a channel and anvil to create the crease. A perforator tool is standard equipment on each creaser which is easily attached to the exit feed rollers to add perforations at the same time the pieces being creased. The Formax Atlas C100 and C200 automatic creasers are easy to set up and operate with the power, durability, and accuracy essential for today's digital print finishing.
