The FD 1500 Entry Level AutoSeal is the ideal economic solution for processing low volume, pressure seal applications, up to 14 inches in length. The 1500 offers an affordable solution to allow small businesses or individual departments to enjoy the benefits of pressure seal self mailers with on site service to make sure mission critical applications are completed on time.

The FD 1500 is reliable: built with proven Formax AutoSeal Sealing technology.

User friendly:The fold plates are clearly marked for quick and easy setup.

Efficient: pressure seal increases productivity and eliminates the storage and cost of envelopes.

Versatile: along with processing standard folds, the FD 1500 can easily be set for a variety of custom folds including the Eccentric Z and C-Fold 2-Way Mailer and backed by on-site installation, training and service support.

To setup and operate the FD 1500, begin by setting the top fold plate. First, lift the top cover.Next, loosen the black knobs as shown here and then slide the fold stop to the appropriate setting. Retighten the knobs and close the top cover. To set the bottom fold plate, remove the fold plate. Repeat the identical process as the top fold plate and replace.

If you are setting a half fold, simply remove the fold plate, turn it around so that the metal stop is leading and replace it as shown. Now, square your forms and load them into the feeder like this. Finally, press the green button to start. Pressing the red button stops the process. The optional counter, shown here, keeps an accurate count of processed forms.

Setting custom folds:

The slide fold stops allows for a variety of custom folds to be easily processed including the Eccentric Z and the C-Fold 2-Way Mailer. To set the fold plates to process an Eccentric Z, begin by measuring the A and B distances as shown here. Then, use the A measurement to set the top fold plate and use the B measurement to set the bottom fold plate. When processing a 14 inch C-Fold 2-Way Mailer, the optional extended fold plate is needed to allow for additional fold length.

On-Site Nationwide Service:

As with all Formax Pressure Seal Units, the FD 2500 is backed by our proven service network which includes on-site professional installation, on-site training and a 90-day labour and parts warranty. Extended service contracts can also be purchased for regular maintenance and future services.

Questions & Answers
Q:
Do you do samples so I know this machine works for me?
Asked by Patrick G 11 months ago
A:
Formax is absolutely awesome when it comes to running samples. Send us some samples of the forms that you are looking to pressure seal and we can have Formax run them through this exact machine to make sure they work properly. They can even pre-configure your particular machine before it leaves the factory so that it is set up exactly for your application. Give us a call at 1-800-944-4573 and we can co-ordinate the samples process with you and give you the address to send them to.
