The GBC 3230 Electric hole punch easily adjusts from two to three holes! All you need to do is slide a switch and you change the hole pattern. Plus, the GBC 3230 punch is incredibly easy to operate. The 3230 includes guides to help ensure perfect paper alignment for great results and even has an extra-large throat to accommodate oversized paper. The jam reverse knob is a great feature just in case you encounter a paper jam. Plus, the chip-drawer on this punch has an easy view window so you can see when it's time to empty.

Thank you for your question. This is a standard 3 hole punch with a margin depth (to the center of the hole) of 3/8". The dies are fixed in position and can not be moved.

Thank you for your question. There is a knob on the top of the machine that lets you switch between 3 and 2 hole punching. The 2 hole punch spacing is set to the width of a 2 prong folder. The hole placing is not adjustable. There is a demo video on the product page that shows the operation and hole placement.

Thank you for reaching out to us. The distance between the holes cannot be adjusted, but the amount of holes can be adjusted from 2 to 3. 3 holes is for letter size hole punching while the 2 holes is for legal size hole punching.

The Swingline® 3230 Electric Punch (7704270) does not staple. The Swingline® 3230ST Electric Punch/Stapler(7704280) is the only version that has both hole punch and stapling functions.
