While serving as the Supply Officer attached to a Navy Reserve Center in the US I purchased this laminator for our command. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a well made machine.

I just purchased this laminator from Staples. I am pleased with the product so far, I was surprised that it did not require a carrier to complete your laminating. I am also excited to find out it has cold laminating abilities.

The 3000L can handle 3 and 5mil in thickness and does both hot and cold laminating, which makes it great for photos and other heat sensitive documents. After 30 minutes of inactivity, it has an auto shutoff feature to save both energy as well as wear and tear on your machine. It’s a great laminator for home and small and medium size offices, ID badges, name tags, menus, signs, certificates, charts, keepsakes, anything that needs to be laminated, you can do it here. The jam release button is right here on the top. In case something goes in crooked, jams up. Push the button, remove it and you’re on your way. That’s the Fusion 3000L. Questions & Answers
Q:
What should I use to clean the rollers and how often should I clean them?
Asked by Beans 7 months ago
A:
You can take 2-4 sheets of regular paper, fold in half to make it a little thicker and run it through the machine a few times. This should clean the rollers. As far as frequency goes, it really depends on how often you use the machine. If the machine is used quite often, I would recommend to clean once a month or so.

Q:
Can I use any Laminating sheets in this machine?

Yes - you can use any 3 or 5 mil laminating pouch or sheet with the Fusion 3000L laminating machine.

Q:
Fed a card stock item, sealed edge first but machine says it's jammed but it wasn't. I was able to reverse it back out. About four inches were sealed. Can I put it back through?
Asked by Refinnej 7 months ago
A:
If the 4" that are laminated at the top are flat and have no creases or wrinkles in them, it's generally safe to put the pouch back through. However, if you do not have a perfectly flat document, there is a risk of jamming the laminator, so we would not recommend sending it through again.

Q:
We are a non profit serving children with developmental delays, trying to save money and use up left over pieces of laminating pouches. We tried using a cover by putting it through twice, it was mostly sealed then we put it through without a cover and it jammed. What type of material would make a good cover?
Asked by Refinnej 7 months ago
A:
We never recommend using left over pieces of a pouch, as you risk damaging the laminator and rollers. If you are using a thin media, such as copy paper, and you need more rigidity, I would recommend using 10mil pouches. Alternatively, if you are using a thicker card stock media, you can use a 3 mil pouch.

Q:
Can generic (Staples) laminating sheets be used with the 3000L? Do i need a carrier for those?
Asked by ParksGuy 7 months ago
A:

Yes, any pouches will work on our laminators, although performance has been optimized for the Swingline GBC pouches.

Q:
Just bought a new GBC Fusion 3000L and often the corners come out of the machine folded. I am using Swingline GBC UltraClear Pouches 11.5 X 17.5? Anyway to solve this issue?
Asked by DOMBH 7 months ago
A:
1. You can send a cleaning card through the machine to help clean the rollers. Try this 2-3 times and try laminating again to see if it fixes the issue.
