The touch controls are still on the front and are all there and the opening is still 9 inches wide, however it can only handle 14 sheets of 20-pound paper in a single shred. It does paper, cardstock, laminate, CDs, DVDs, paperclips and staples. Should you have a paper jam, simply press the reverse button on the front, push, hold, back it out and start again. A small red light on the control panel will illuminate if the bin is getting full. the waste bin itself is 5.8 gallons in size, has a window on the front so you can see progress, can contain a bag or just use it as a bin and is accessed right from the front and it makes a cross-cut shred at a level 3 security. It's a lightweight unit and the rollers on the bottom make it even lighter. There it is, that's the BS14c ShredStar. For more demos, reviews and how to's, check out MyBinding.com.
