Welcome to MyBinding video. This is a look at the W630 Score II, a Lassco Wizer 19-1/2 inch scoring machine. It's about as simple as it gets but, really, what more do you need? The ruler fence locks down in place so that your scoring is all done at the same exact spot for your entire project. Operating just like a roller trimmer, you slide it right across the paper and it's scored perfectly every time, makes for easy folding. The W630 has interchangeable perfing and scoring wheels. Both are included. Pull up on a knob on the roller and lift it out. Simple as that. Then pull it back down again into the flat head screwdriver simply unscrew the knob there and swap them out. Once you've pulled the pin and replaced it with the other wheel, they work exactly in the same way. Screw the pin in nice and tight. Make sure the wheel still turns, lift up, put it right in the track and you're all set to go. Slide your paper in right where you want it, use the fence to make sure your line is perfectly where you need it and slide it across. Your paper is now perforated just where you need to make easy tear. If you have any question or concern about card stock, have no fear, this machine can handle right through card stock as well. So if your business needs a lot of scoring or perforating to do, this could be a great machine for you. That's the W630 Score II by Lassco Wizer. Lassco Wizer W630 Score II Scoring Machine Review

If you're looking to add to your collection of paper handling equipment, you should check out the W630 Score II Scoring Machine. It's a device that can score and perforate a variety of different materials so you can create professional-looking documents. Here's an in-depth look at this machine, including how it rates on a scale of 1 to 10.

  • The W630 is a device that can both score and perforate your paper. There's a wheel for each function and it only take a few moments to swap one wheel for another. The perforating wheel will create 10 perfs per inch so you can produce documents and forms that are easy to tear. Each wheel is made out of steel so they're very durable.

  • This device can handle regular 20 lb. bond paper up to 90 lb. cover stock. It can even be used to process cardstock and laminated items. This scorer is really quite versatile so you'll be able to use it for all of your perforating and scoring needs.

  • When you process your materials, you'll be able to score/perforate more than one sheet of 20 lb. bond paper at once. This is very convenient because you'll be able to get your work done faster. However, keep in mind that you'll only be able to process one piece of cardstock at a time.

  • The W630 has a very large base. It measures 24" x 20" so you'll be able to easily score and perforate large and small materials. The maximum scoring length is 19.5" so you can trim legal- and tabloid-sized sheets. There's an adjustable edge guide to make it easy to use this device. (Note: if you want a device that can process larger material, there's the W635 which has a 25-inch scoring capability.)

  • This device only weighs 15 pounds, so it won't be very difficult to move around. That way, you won't need to have this product out at all times.

  • As far as the warranty is concerned, the W630 is covered for one year. This device is really well-constructed so you'll be able to regularly use it for a long period of time.

Final rating: 9. If you need something that's able to both perforate and score your documents, you really can't go wrong with the Lassco Wizer W630. It's great that this product has interchangeable scoring/perforating wheels and that it doesn't take very long to swap them out. This device is large enough to handle bigger documents and you can process both thin and thick materials with it which is really handy. It's especially nice that you can score more than one sheet of paper at once - it will help you save time. (Although keep in mind you can only work with one piece of cardstock at a time.) This product is also durably constructed so you can use it repeatedly without any issues. All in all, the W630 is an impressive product, so take a look at it today.

Questions & Answers

Thank you for your question. Paper scores use a dull wheel it score a crease into the stock. That crease will be visible on both sides of the stock card.

Thank you for your question. We reached out to Lassco Wizer and unfortunately their W630 Score II 19.5" Scoring Machine does not alternate perfing wheels available to it. The only perfing wheel available is the one it comes with that has 10 TPI.

Thank you for your question. The Lassco Wizer W630 Score II 19.5" Scoring Machine does not have a way to adjust the pressure applied my perfing wheel. It functions in the same fashion that a rotary trimmer would work, except that it cuts a "dotted line" instead of a continuous cut.

Thank you for your question. The Lassco Wizer W630 Score II 19.5" Scoring Machine is able to score up to Cover Stock which can be up to about 110 # stock. Cereal box cardboard is fairly thin so it should not have a issue with it.

As long as you are scoring paper there isn't really a maximum. Many people use this unit to score heavy duty card stock for card making, crafts etc. That being said if the item that you are trying to score is so thick that the impression from the score doesn't impress all the way through the fold that you get on the score line may not be as clean as you like.
