Folding paper by hand results in cracking and tearing of the ink as seen here—and the fold isn’t straight.

Using a creaser produces a clean fold line that presses the ink, preparing it for a fold.

First, we’ll go over the the controls: Push the green button to crease your page. Or if plugged in you can use the foot pedal, shown by the blue icon. The yellow one unjam the creaser—but our Martin Yale guy has never seen one jam.

Ok, now you place your page in and make sure you edge guides are measured out to the correct lengths. Push the foot pedal or green button to make your crease. If you want two creases, move your page to the other guide and crease again.

By using both edge guides we can create a booklet fold as seen here, which can even act as a thermal cover. Or you can do a single crease, like this one straight down the middle.

It’s an easy creasing machine, because folding pages shouldn’t be difficult.
