Questions & Answers
Q:
Can I trim to the edges of the paper after it was laminated? (if exposing the edges is not a concern to me)
Asked by Nana S.
A:
Thank you for your question. You can trim laminate after it has been processed. If you break the seal around the edge of the sheet there is a chance for pealing as the laminate adheres better to itself than to paper. It does get a solid bond but wear and tear may cause it to peal.

Q:
How do I know what film my machine uses?
Asked by Sara
A:
Most machines will list in the manual what thickness of film it can go up to. If you are not sure, we can always look up your make and model and help you order the correct film.

Q:
Can I use this product with a pouch laminator . I have a fellowes spectra 95
Asked by Jerry W.
A:
Unfortunately it is very difficult to use a standard roll of laminating film with a pouch laminator. The Fellowes Spectra 95 is designed to use with laminating pouches that are sealed on one edge and have a top and bottom flap. The top and bottom flap are aligned to prevent glue from coming in contact with the rollers of the machine or the pouch carrier. Your best bet is really to buy 3mil or 5mil laminating pouches to use with your machine.

Q:
Can i use a binding machine to punch the finished product to put in a book or will that break the seal ?
Asked by Rocky B.
'>
A:
You can use a binding machine to punch the finished product without a problem. The only potential issue that you may have is that by punching through the laminate you are going to expose the edges of the paper at the holes meaning that the sheet will not be waterproof in that area. For most people that shouldn't be a big deal but it is worth noting.

Q:
Can I use 25" film with a 27" laminator or do I have to use 27" film?
Asked by Nelly F.
A:
If you have a 27" Laminator you can use any width of film up to 27 inches as long as the core size is correct (most school laminators use 1 inch core film). The most popular variety of film for schools is 1.5mil 25x500 on a 1 inch core.
