This is how to use Wire Calendar Hangers!

First, using a wire binding machines, punch the pages of your calendar at the top. Then do this with your chosen covers.

Next, with your half moon punch measured out to the correct size paper, punch your pages where you just punched your holes for the wire. Do this to the covers as well.

Thread your calendar into the wire facing up. Place the calendar hanger in, and then place your covers on(with the back cover on top of the front).

The wire hanger should be flush with the pages so the crimper does not smoosh it, you may have to place it in holding the hanger against the paper.  Then press the wire together.

Now it’s all together; we just have to cut off the excess wire where the loop is. This is an important step to pay attention to because if you don’t pay attention then it won’t look as nice.

A quick snip and you can see the ends of the wire still sticking out. To avoid this make sure the closed ends of the wire are exposed and cut the wire as close as possible to the end of the half moon. Oh and make sure your scissors are strong enough to cut the wire!

Now you have a fancy hanging calendar!

Questions & Answers

You can use any size calendar wire, up to 10" length, for an 11" calendar.

Per the manufacturer, there is only one size loop for the calendar wires, industry wide. If you use a longer calendar wire, that might get it a little more stability.

Thank you for your question. Black Wire Calendar Hangers are designed to use with smaller wire sizes. If the closed diameter of the wire is larger than the size of the "thumb loop", the hanger would slip out of the end of the closed wire.
