Also called Wire-O, WireBind, and Double Loop Wire, these black 1-1/4" 2:1 pitch elements let pages lie flat with 360 Degrees rotation for convenient note-taking and photocopying as well as provide a permanent bind to your documents--meaning your pages stay secure and protected. Not only that, but these black 1-1/4" 2:1 pitch wire spines look a tad more refined than a plastic comb or spiral coil. Measuring 1-1/4" in diameter, these black twin loop wires can hold approximately 220-280 sheets. These black 1-1/4" 2:1 pitch twin loop wires come open in a "C" shape, allowing you to insert the spines into your punched pages and then simply use your wire binding machine or wire closer to finish your books. Thank you for your question. The sizing guide table is based off of 20 # stock for other weights of paper that you would want to base the size of the spine on the physical thickness of the completed document. A good rule of thumb would be to add 1/8" to the size of your completed document to determine the size of the spine that you would want to use.

You are probably going to want to choose 5/8" wire if you are using 20lb bond paper. However the best way to know for sure is measure the thickness of your book including covers and add between 1/8" to 1/4" to the measurement. This will allow your pages to turn freely and will ensure an awesome fit no matter what thickness of paper you are using.
