Strengths:

Precise feeding is accomplished through dual rollers controlled by a friction feed mechanism. The rollers intuitively account for differences in paper size and weight, including carbonless forms. Stock thicknesses can range from 13lb to 110lb bond, accommodating myriad paper varieties.

Variable speed control is offered through an electronic adjuster. Needle bearings are used to ensure accuracy during high speed production. Items are folded as fast as 22,000 sheets per hour, more than ample for large volume folding, such as mass mailings.

The fold plates promptly adjust for a both standard and custom folds. Preset folds include single, letter, zigzag, double parallel, and half accordion. Between these and any custom fold you create, you have the ability to make bulletins, programs, flyers, newsletters, invoices, menus, and more.

Up to 300 sheets can sit in the hopper waiting to be folded. A powered conveyor belt gives the orderly exit of folded sheets.

Papers as small as 2" x 2-3/4" or as large as 14" x 21-1/4" can all be folded, allowing a large assortment of items to be created.

Weaknesses:

Although a wide variety of paper stocks can be folded by this machine, glossy paper is not one of them. Many offices won't be affected by this. But companies wishing to fold large amounts of specialty paper might be more interested in the 352S, which does have this capability.

This device isn't equipped with a counter. If you mostly fold in quantities congruent with the number of sheets sold together, this won't be much of an issue for you. But some businesses appreciate being able to program the number of items they need to fold and eliminate the need to count out individual sheets. We suggest the 407A if you want a great paper folder that includes a counter.

One other thing that some businesses may want is an option for folding multiple sheets together. Unfortunately this device is not equipped with this ability. A comparable machine with that option is the Martin Yale 2501 Smartfold.
