Product Description
These are 18mm gray steel spiral coils. They are designed to work with the binding system by Carl International, but can work with most 3:1 coil binding system. These 18mm steel coils are packaged in a 3 pack. They are sturdy and work great for binding notebooks, crafting and scrap-booking. These would be an ideal choice for use with a chipboard cover.

You can find it it two sizes: the 9 mm size can fit up to 50 pages, and the 18mm size can fit up to 110 pages.
When bound, pages lay flat. Better yet they lay back to back!
After punching with either the Carl Ring Binding System, or any other 3:1 pitch punch machine, thread the coil through the first holes by hand. Finish it completely this way, or finish it with a coil machine.

Thank you for your question. Comb binding is not going to be a 2:1 pitch. What that ratio is is the number of holes per inch. 2:1 would have 2 hole per inch. The type of wire you would use that has the same spacing as comb is called Spiral-O. You would need to have a wire closer to use Spiral-O wire. You can find our selection of Spiral-O wire here .

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not have the Carl 18mm Steel Spiral Wire Coil in gold. We have it in brown, black, white and gray.
