Coverbind Machine Review by Bev

This is an excellent product . I use it for personal reasons and jazz the 'books' up by making a print on the front cover with alcohol inks. Love it. And so simple to use.

New business, owner Review by Shari R.

We ordered this machine for our new business that we are opening. We know we will have reports to bind, but not an excessive amount. We tested it out today, and this little binder was absolutely fabulous! The price is amazing, and it will be perfect for our use. Very professional looking. It makes it nice to be able to bind it in house, instead of sending it out for binding. It was so simple to use!!!!! My daughter and I did a hi five once we had the finished product. Thank you for such a great binding machine. We will definitely tell everyone about it.

Using the CoverBind cover, which come in range of style, colors and sizes, you simply measure your document in this slide, telling you the size that you need. The majority of CoverBind covers have their own built in loose strip. Simply slide your booklet inside the cover, tamp everything down to make it nice and even and place it inside the CoverBind Personal Binder and as easy as cooking toast, you push the button, the binder does the work. In about 90 seconds, your project is done. Remove it, tamp it down one more time and put it in a cooling rack in the back so the glue can cure. A great advantage with thermal binding with the CoverBind Personal Binder is that you can bind up to 5 different documents or 5 copies of the same document all at once, all in the same short binding cycle. It really is that simple. In just a couple of minutes, you can have a professional-looking bound document as your presentation. That is CoverBind's Personal Thermal Binding Machine. Helpful Tips

How to Bind with the Coverbind Personal Binding Machine

The Coverbind Personal Binder is one of the smallest manually operated desktop binding machines on the market. Because of this, it can be placed on your desk without becoming an annoyance. For such a small machine, it is still capable of binding up to five documents at a time depending on spine width. Here is a step by step guide on how to bind great looking documents in minutes:

  1. Measure your document with the cover size selector.
  2. Now it is time to find a Coverbind cover that matches the same spine width as your document. After finding the right cover, load the paper set into the binding machine.
  3. Once your document is loaded, push the red button. Do not move the document while the red light is on.
  4. When the red indicator light turns off, the binding process is complete. You can now remove the document. In order to let it cool down, place the bound document out for 2-3 minutes.

While some binding machines can be difficult for a first time user, the Coverbind Personal Binding Machine is user-friendly, simple and effective. We would recommend this binding machine for a home office or small business. Hope all your binding projects go well!

Questions & Answers
Q:
Do the pages in these bindings lay flat? I have searched everywhere and can’t find the answer. I know the plows machine lays flat but want to know if this one does as well. Thank you!
Asked by Marissa
A:
Thank you for your question. These would be similar to a standard soft cover book. They lay pretty flat but would have about 1/8" - 1/4" of the binding edge that would be glued.

Q:
If I buy glue sticks from you guys can I use my own homemade covers?
Asked by Tammara Breland
A:
The glue strips listed on our website are for making your own covers. You just want to make sure you are using a heat resistant stock (Most cardstock will work, Glossy stock should always be tested) and you want to make sure there is about 1/4 of an inch on each side of the glue strip from the edge of your cover. We also recommend a creaser to crease your covers so you have crisp lines where your glue will go. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call us at 800-944-4573.

Q:
Can you bind other sizes besides 8.5x11? For example 8x8 and how do you get covers that size if possible?
Asked by Debbie
A:
Thank you for your question. For covers in sizes for paper other than 8.5" x 11" you would need to either have custom covers made or make a single piece wrap around cover and use glue strips. We would be happy to help get custom covers made for you. Please reach out directly to our customer service department and we can start the process of getting a quote for you.
