Designed to be used on 2mm drafting leads, these sharpeners gently shave the outer edge of the leads and provide a perfectly contoured edge. Each unit features integrated steel milled blades that the pencil rotates around and spins freely once fully sharpened. Dahle Lead Pointers are hand held devices and include a cleaning plug to remove excess lead shavings.

This is the Dahle Professional Lead Pointer #301!
Now, I will admit that I don’t even have the proper supplies to demonstrate this for you. A standard wood pencil will not work in this lead sharpener.
Clean off your lead by inserting it into the white foam here.
Inside you can see the sharpening blade and how it all works when you insert your lead and twist it. The top piece simply comes off and on.
You can use the two smaller holes in the top of the sharpener to measure out your lead, and depending on the length, it will give you a sharp point or a duller point as you so choose.
