This may just be the perfect shredder for a home office. No loner do you have to sit by the shredder inserting 8 - 10 pages at a time to get your shredding done. Stack up your papers and when you get about 200 pages, simply open the top of the unit and place the stack inside, close the top, press the button and walk away. No need to remove staples, but I make a habit of removing paper clips. You do have to stack the papers in a neat pile, think of putting paper into a printer. Not a speed demon, but perfectly acceptable in my opinion. No longer to do have to waste time and baby sit and hand feed the shredder. It's relatively compact and fits under my desk. This is a micro cut shredder and the bits are much smaller than you get with a cross cut shredder. Great for super sensitive documents. The smaller bits also compact better in the bin so bag changes are less frequent. All in all, I really like this shredder and it will be replacing an aging Fellows that has served me very well over the years without any issues. Well worth the price.

There are some white collar criminals who wish they had this type of shredder. This is a great machine. No longer do I have to insert a couple pages at a time. Now I can drop dozens of pages inside the door, close it and let it do it's job. The shredding is micro small (okay, not really micro, but they are tiny) pieces. I compared the result with my old shredder which gives much longer strips.
It also has the bonus of shredding papers with staples and paper clips. I wouldn't toss in paper clips, but I hated tearing off staple sections to allow shredding (note, for paper clips/staples you are limited to only 20 sheets at a time instead of the 200 max otherwise). There is also a top feeding section that is best to use for envelopes, a single sheet or two and credit cards/cd's. Also, folded paper from say a 14"" paper that doesn't fit under the door section is best to feed into the top section.
Finally, the machine has a very large bin to hold the remains. The only downside is that I haven't quite figured out how best to insert the trash bag so that the bin door closes easily. It comes with same plastic bags but I haven't used them yet. They probably work perfectly, but I'm not planning on buying specific bags for the machine. I want to just use regular Glad bags, or whatever I normally get for trash.
The machine is larger than the standard type you might keep at home. It's perfect for a small business and at home, but just know that it stands out against the wall.
