It has a pull out drawer in the front. Pull it firmly and insert your stack of pages—even legal size pages.

Close the door and choose to start, or you can delay the shredding process 30, 60, or 90 minutes. You’ll also notice at this point that the door locks until it completes the shredding cycle. But, I’m going to push the start button and let it automatically shred the stack.

From time to time you’ll want to empty out the 20 gallon waste bin—and be sure to use plastic or paper bags to contain the mess.

If you have a stack that’s about 25 pages and stapled together, well it will shred through that still.

And for smaller medias like CDs and junk mail, it is highly recommended to place them in-between some full size pages to ensure that the machine can grab and shred them as well.

You can place in up to 500 sheets of 20 pound paper—that’s an entire ream to shred automatically.

Because the shredding mechanism is on the side now, it leave the top open as nice flat surface to place things on.

And, it’s on wheels, for easy transportation.

About once a month you’ll want to oil your shredder to keep it working properly. To do this, take your shredder oil and pour a big squiggly line across the entire page. You don’t have to do too much, just like that and shred the pages. And it’s good for another month.

If your machine has problems starting, you can try wiping off the sensors located in the tray and see if that helps.

If you have a much bigger problem and the door is locked, you can gain access the inside by opening the top panel. Make sure the machine is unplugged, twist the screw in the back all the way and pop the panel off.

It also comes with these little nubs to either screw something onto the back of the shredder, or you could try securing the shredder to a wall.
