Formax AutoSeal FD 1502 Tabletop Mid-Volume Pressure Sealer

The FORMAX FD 1502 Auto Seal Pressure Sealer is the ideal mid volume solution for processing pressure sensitive one piece mailers. Pressure seal forms can be used whenever a document can be printed and folded on one sheet, eliminating the cost of envelopes and creating a sealed mail ready piece. The FD 1502 processes up to one hundred forms per minute, folds paper sizes up to fourteen inches in length and has clearly marked fold plates for quick and easy set up. User friendly features include an LED indicator, six digit resettable counter and a three tire drop in feed system for dependable feeding of forms with no paper fanning required. The FD 1502 is pre-marked for standard folds and eleven inch and fourteen paper inch sizes and can also be easily set for custom folds including eccentric Z and C fold mailers. To set up and operate the FD 1502 begin by lifting the feed table and setting the adjusting side guides. Next set the stop position for the top fold plate, first lift and remove the top cover then loosen the black nobs and slide the slide stop to the appropriate setting on the fold plate, retighten the nobs and replace the top cover, to set the bottom fold plate, remove the fold plate, repeat the identical process as the top fold plate and replace. When setting a half fold, simply remove the lower fold plate and turn it around so that the metal stop is leading and replace it as shown. Now load the printed forms into the feeder and place the green button to start. The resettable counter keeps an accurate count of processed forms, before you know it the forms are folded, sealed and ready for the mail in one streamlined process. To setup and operate the FD 1500, begin by setting the top fold plate. First, lift the top cover.Next, loosen the black knobs as shown here and then slide the fold stop to the appropriate setting. Retighten the knobs and close the top cover. To set the bottom fold plate, remove the fold plate. Repeat the identical process as the top fold plate and replace.

If you are setting a half fold, simply remove the fold plate, turn it around so that the metal stop is leading and replace it as shown. Now, square your forms and load them into the feeder like this. Finally, press the green button to start. Pressing the red button stops the process. The optional counter, shown here, keeps an accurate count of processed forms.

Setting custom folds:

The slide fold stops allows for a variety of custom folds to be easily processed including the Eccentric Z and the C-Fold 2-Way Mailer. To set the fold plates to process an Eccentric Z, begin by measuring the A and B distances as shown here. Then, use the A measurement to set the top fold plate and use the B measurement to set the bottom fold plate. When processing a 14 inch C-Fold 2-Way Mailer, the optional extended fold plate is needed to allow for additional fold length.
