Lamination Made Easier with the GBC Creative Laminator
GBC makes a lot of terrific pouch laminators and the Creative Laminator is one of their best, especially for office use. This device is easy to use, but these tricks can make operating it even easier:
- The Creative Laminator takes about 6 minutes to warm up, so you should turn it on well ahead of when you want to begin laminating. While the laminator warms up, you can choose a pouch for your project. (The machine works with 3 and 5 mil pouches.)
- You should use a carrier when laminating with this device. The carrier will prevent adhesive from leaking out of the pouch which reduces the risk of pouch jams.
- This machine has a 9-inch feed opening so you can easily laminate letter-sized documents. You can also laminate smaller items like name tags and snapshots.
- When you’re ready to laminate, make sure that the creased edge of the pouch or carrier is going in first. This helps smooth out wrinkles and bubbles.
- Don’t forget to turn off the Creative Laminator when you’re done. The machine can overheat if it’s left on for too long.
