GBC Quantum P70iX Die Sets

This is the GBC Quantum P70iX Punch Dies.

To change them out, first select “Job Manager” and select the die you want to use.  This will unlock the current one in the machine.

Next pull the one in the machine out, and slide the one you’ll be using in—it’s very simple.

Finish selecting the correct setting of the new die and the machine will take a bit to lock it into place. It will show a locked symbol on screen, then run a proof to make sure your punch is correct and ready for mass production!

All the dies have removable pins so you can customize any punch. And if you can’t tell, they are very sturdy, made completely of metal.

Here’s a quick run through of using the GBC Quantum P70iX Production Grade Punch Machine.

To start off, as a little tip we recommend taking an air hose and cleaning the sensors before ever job. The punching process produces a bit of dust every time, which slowly has a negative effect on the sensors working properly.

 Next, select “Job Manager” to choose the type of punch die you’ll be using.  This selects both the paper size, and the punch type.

Next, place in the correct punch die.

We’re choosing here the 19 hole punch pattern, so we do this and it takes us to the main screen.  Now select the punching speed with the left and right arrows. 105 LPM is very fast, and it’s usually recommended to never max out the speed—we like to stick with 75.  Use the up and down arrows to select how many pages it will punch at a time.

Now place your stack of pages in.  It can take in as many pages that will fit through that door, so about 5 reams at a time.

Next we’re going to run a proof to make sure our holes are aligned properly.  The machine will take in the pages and through a series of magical techniques—ok it’s not really magical—it will punch a few sheets.  When it’s complete, lift the top up and observe your sheets—if it needs adjustments, make them! Otherwise push the run button to run the entire stack.

It’ll spit out your pages nicely stack when it’s done.

Oh, and on the left is a nice large bin for all the hole punch bits. Just make sure to empty this out from time to time.
