Welcome to MyBinding video. This is a product review of the GBC ShredMaster Style+, a cross cut shredder. The GBC ShredMaster Style+ was designed for the home or small office use. It combines a stylish, great modern look with excellent ShredMaster quality. It's extremely easy to use and the on/off as well as reverse switch seems to work very quickly. Simply turn it on, insert your papers, it's ready to go. It can handle up to seven sheets at one time. It processes it really fast so you can do a lot of work in a short amount of time. The reverse feature is very handy for removing jams or stopping a project in process. Although the speed is fairly fast, seven sheets is pretty limiting if you have an office with lots of work to do. It also cannot shred CDs or DVDs. The Style+ can shred paper, plastic covers, paperclips, staples, and credit cards. Shred that is produced is 1/6" by 1-7/9" in size, which makes it a level three in terms of security, adequate for much home and office work but not highly classified materials. The waste basket is a three gallon capacity, which could prove pretty annoying if you have lots of shredding to do. This is a great looking and working machine at a price point of under $100. To interrupt or reverse a project, simply flip the switch to the other side. When the papers reach the top, remove them and do as you please. To start again, flip the switch to the other side to the auto on and begin. The self-contained waste bucket can be removed by simply sliding out the front of the machine. Personal shredders come in all shapes and sizes, some built for function and some for style. If you’re looking to combine the two, check out the GBC Shredmaster Style+ Cross Cut Shredder. Sleek design will give your office a modern look without sacrificing performance. The Style+ is still equipped with traditional shredder features for simple operation. Let’s take a closer look at this unique machine.
Strengths:
- The most obvious strength of this machine is its stylish design. The crisp black and white coloring along with the smooth, contoured lines provide an attractive addition to any office. It looks more like a hip stereo rather than a functional piece of office equipment. A handle on the top allows it to be moved around easily for shared use.
- Functionality is not sacrificed for style. An automatic on/off allows one handed use, triggering the blades to run when items are inserted and turning them off when not in use. After a few minutes of idleness, the machine powers down to save electricity as well as avoid unnecessary wear and tear on the motor.
- Seven sheets of 20lb bond paper can enter the blades at once, including paperclips and staples. The Style+ also offers the convenient disposal of credit cards. This is perfect for getting rid of unwanted credit card offers and other junk mail without even needing to open it.

Weaknesses:
- Three gallons is not very much waste storage. For light use, this will work just fine. But much more than that will fill up the bin quickly. If you think you’ll need more than the occasional daily shredding, we suggest you upgrade to a larger model.
- The particles created only earn a level three security rating. While this is adequate for most business purposes, offices needing to dispose of highly classified material will prefer a high security shredder.
Overall, the Shredmaster Style+ is a great combination of functionality and style. With it’s sleek, curvy design and modern black and white coloring, this shredder will look great in any office. Automatic functions provide simple use. And the cross cutting blades keep all your personal data safe.
