Asked by Braylen W.
When a machine say is it a LVL 4 Shredder that is is overall or general rating. Level 4 is considered a Medium Security shredder. The letter designations refer to the security rating for a specific material to be shredded. (P= Paper , O=Optical (cds/dvds), F= MicroFilm, T = magnetic data carriers ( disk/ id badges), E = Electronic Data Carriers (data stick) ) Some organizations have a specific requirement based on the material that needs to be met not just the shredders overall rating.
