James Burn BB400P Speedbind is a fully automatic, high speed, in line punch and wire binding machine that provides the ultimate in productivity. It can bind a huge variety of applications including calendars, note pads, books, diaries and more. Add the optional nail hole punch for a complete punch and bind system that can do calendar in one pass for a truly automated in-line wire punch and bind solution.The BB400P is an upgraded version of the BB400 that includes the same powerful and fast wire cutting, inserting, and closing, but combines it with the all-in-one solution of an inline punch. With a production speed of up to 3,000 documents per hour depending on format,the BB400P is a single punch system that will punch up to a 4mm thick document. It also has the ability to bind documents that have been punched off-line, in wire sizes up to 1". The BB400P closes 3:1 and 2:1 pitch wire from 1/4" up to 1" with multi-skip binding, and can take all types of documents including flush cut, oversized covers as well as tabbed sheets. The James Burn BB400P Speedbind can use traditional wire spools or our new SnakeSkin Wire-O. The control panel is simple and easy to use and mechanical adjustments on the insertion guide and tool changes are performed from the front of the machine. - Speedbind Binding Process:
- The operator positions the documents onto the left side of the machine
- The document is jogged by gravity
- The document is punched
- The document is transported to the wire feeding section
- The wire element is cut to length and fed
- The wire element is inserted into the document
- The document moves to the closing station
- The document is stacked on the reception exit conveyor
- Optional Accessories:
- Board Feeder: The board feeder is a station that can be added to the machine. A stack of hard covers are loaded into the feeder, and it will automatically load them one at a time while the operator loads the book block. This eliminates the need to collate the covers with the rest of the book ahead of time.
