Product Description
The James Burn BB400SP Speedbind is a fully automatic, high speed punch and wire binding machine that provides the ultimate in productivity. It has the same output as you do with the BB400P, but with double the punching capacity that allows you to make 8mm thick books with speed and efficiency. The BB400SP will bind a wide variety of applications including calendars, note pads, books, diaries and more. It is capable to run documents at up to 3,000 books per hour, and works with both 3:1 and 2:1 pitch wire up to 1" in diameter. It handles skip binding and can use traditional spools or our new SnakeSkin Wire-O. The control panel is simple and easy to use and mechanical adjustments on the insertion guide and tool changes are performed from the front of the machine. The BB400SP can be purchased with an optional board feeder for easels, and an optional nail hole punch for wall-hanging calendars. This James Burn BB400SP Speedbind is ideal in any print shop or bindery that requires high volume needs.

A stack of hard covers are loaded into the feeder, and it will automatically load them one at a time while the operator loads the book block. This eliminates the need to collate the covers with the rest of the book ahead of time.

- Document Binding Steps/Processes:
- The operator positions the documents onto the left side of the machine.
- The document is jogged by gravity.
- The document is punched.
- The document is transported to the wire feeding section.
- The wire element is cut to length and fed.
- The wire element is inserted into the document.
- The document moves to the closing station.
- The document is stacked on the reception exit conveyor.
