MBM is known for producing quality office equipment and the Simplimatic Paper Folding Machine is no exception. Designed for simple, table top use, this is a perfect device for churches, schools, clubs and other businesses with basic needs. Easy to adjust manual settings and quality craftsmanship contribute to the functionality of this machine. Let's take a closer look at the Simplimatic.

Strengths:

• First, compact design allows it to sit comfortably on a desk or table. The large feed tray folds in for storage, taking up even less space. And since it only weighs slightly over 30 pounds, it can be easily picked up and moved from desk to desk for shared use.

• Three types of folds are offered: single fold, "C" fold, and "Z" fold. A dial selector on the side allows for quick and easy selection between standard folds, as well as having custom fold options. The fold plates themselves are fully enclosed for quieter operation.

• A large tray table holds up to 150 sheets for automatic feeding. An additional manual entry allows up to three loose or stapled sheets to enter and fold together. The machine can produce up to 8400 sheets per hour, though if you routinely use it at this speed, your folder will wear out quickly.

• While the Simplimatic is designed mainly for use with letter, legal, and A4 size paper, items as small as 5-3/4" x 6" can be folded as well. Paper weights from 16lb to 60lb bond easily fold without needing a separator to set for the various thicknesses. The wide variation in density make it possible to fold some cardstocks.

• Finished items emerge into a small catch area in the back of the machine. The low-maintenance rollers snap out for easy cleaning and are fully enclosed to prevent loose clothing from getting caught. An anti-static strip also helps the machine keep running smoothly in high static environments and when used with carbonless paper.

• MBM provides a one year limited warranty on this folder, excluding wearables.

Weaknesses:

• This machine can't fold glossy or coated paper. Many offices don't use either of those and for them this machine will work well. But businesses utilizing specialty materials for brochures or other items may prefer a machine with this specific capability.

• Legal size paper is the largest this machine can handle. Again, for many offices this is more than adequate. However, those needing to fold 11" x 17" size documents or larger should look into the MBM 207M with a larger paper size range, though it is considerably more expensive.

As you can see from the many strengths, the MBM Simplimatic is an excellent device for companies with basic folding needs. Easy to use functions with good capacity offer efficiency and convenience.
