OK for the money. Review by John

It punches very few pages at a time.
It is hard to get the pages solidly against the punch alignment stop.
The back left corner of the top page sometimes gets folded and the left punch misses.
I haven't been able to get it to close larger wire diameters round; they wind up with a flat back.

For what I am doing, I would buy it again. If I were doing more, I would probably buy better.

In the punch, it is difficult to get the paper solidly against the stop; I have made a significant number of miss-punches. Also in the punch part, the left corner o the top page sometimes gets folded over and winds up unpunched.

For the wire closing part, the stops for setting the wire diameter do not line up with the numbers on the housing.

Wonderful Machine Review by Vivian

We had an electronic binding machine that broke and was not repairable. For a fraction of the costs we decided to try the manual binding machine. It works just as well as the electronic one did. Directions are easy to follow, and the adjustable margin depth is an added bonus. The only issue we had was one of the metal fingers that holds the wire in place was bent during shipping. We were able to bend it back enough to use it. Over all we are very pleased with this item.

Works For Me Review by Tia Christine

I bought this binding machine with the objective of being able to bind books of printed worksheets for my homeschool. I was also able to use it to bind the pages of an E-book that I purchased. The machine was very easy to assemble, fairly lightweight and does a good job. I noticed that when binding the covers for the booklets it worked best when I punched them one at a time. Delivery was super fast I received my shipment several days before the anticipated arrival. I am happy with the product and will shop again. Thanks!

I first bought a cheaper model, not wanting to invest much until we knew binding our catalogs was the way we wanted to go with our catalogs. Turns out we love the binding. It makes our smaller catalogs look so much more professional. That first model worked fine, but it only did one size of wire and only a punched a few sheets at a time. Eventually we were doing bigger catalogs and decided to invest in a machine that could do more. So we looked at this machine. The price was by far better than anything else out there, so that was the first plus. But this machine does far more and is much easier to use than my last. I can do easily punch twice as many sheets. I can do many different sizes of wire bindings and I LOVE that there is that little pull out tray to empty the punches with (much nicer and cleaner than the last machine that I had to bang over a garbage can to get it all out!) I would HIGHLY recommend this machine to those looking to make a professional looking catalog, etc for not a lot of money!

Welcome to MyBinding.com. This is the MiniWire 3:1 Pitch Hole Bunch and Wire Binding Machine.

Whether you're binding daily, monthly or yearly, this affordable machine makes wire binding simple and cost effective for you. All MyBinding’s machines are made with high quality, long lasting materials and are backed by a two year warranty for peace of mind. Start by removing the thumbscrew on the right side, slip on the handle and replace the screw. Adjust the left edge stop for the correct size paper and rotate the knob on the left side to the punch position. Then you can punch up to 12 pages of 20 pound paper. There's an easy 11 inch guide for standard paper, and the punch holes are numbered. This particular machine makes 32 square holes standard for wire binding spines. The tab on the left side of the machine is used to set your margins depending on the size of your booklet. Don’t forget to periodically empty the waste tray. Set your binding wire on the hooks on the back of the machine so you can set your pages into the wire as you punch. Once you’re done punching your pages and covers, take the booklet and set it wire down into the crimper. Set the knob to the correct size wire you’re using and depress the lever one last time. You’ve made a perfect wire bound booklet all on your own. Stop paying expensive labor and make perfect booklets on your own time with MyBinding's line of hole punch and binding machines.

Q:
Could this be able to wire a 46 page manual?
Asked by Landy Sandoval
A:
Thank you for your question. The MINIWIRE Manual 3:1 Pitch Wire Binding Machine would be able to bind a book with 46 sheets of paper. It uses a 3:1 Twin Loop Wire which are available in sizes up to 9/16" (up to 120 sheets of 20# paper) .

Q:
can I bind different sized books with this machine or is it only the one size (11"?)
Asked by susan chainey
A:
Thank you for your question. The MINIWIRE Manual 3:1 Pitch Wire Binding Machine would be able to punch and bind books 11" wide or smaller. For books smaller than 11" wide you may end up with a half punch on the edge of the sheet because the machine doe not have dies that can disengage.

Q:
Am I able to bind documents less than 11"? Can you disengage certain punches to make sure they are even for smaller documents?
Asked by kristi
A:
Thank you for your question. The MiniWire is able to bind documents smaller than letter size but because it does not have the disengageable dies. The least expensive wire binding machine that has disengageable dies is the Tamerica TW3100. You can find that machine here .

Q:
Do you carry a 3:1 manual binding machine that makes 4 mm ROUND holes? Thanks.
Asked by Deborah Morrison
A:
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not have a manual machine that is 3:1 and punches a round hole. The only 3:1 Round Hole option that we have would be a die set for a electric modular system.

Q:
Would this work with ProClick Spines? I bought the PaperMonster WB6 because it said it would work with ProClick spines, but the pages do not turn easily because the holes need to be a bit bigger. Would this be a better choice?
Asked by N. Wolfgang
A:
Thank you for your question. The MINIWIRE Manual 3:1 Pitch Wire Binding Machine will punch holes that will punch holes that are very similar in size to the Papermonster machine. Proclick and 3:1 wire share the same spacing as Proclick but the holes they punch will be a bit smaller in size so it may be a bit snug of a fit for the ProClick spines. There is a dedicated Proclick machines availble that punches larger holes. You can find them here .

Q:
Once a year, I have a book that is over 9/16 of an inch. I am unable to locate spines big enough to do this book, so I have been taking it to a professional binder. Is there a way I can do this with my machine?
Asked by Jorge
A:
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the 3:1 pitch wire binding machines do not have spines available larger than 9/16. To accomplish this you would need a machine to punch 2:1 pitch (21 holes) You can find those here. You can find the supplies, here.

Q:
How many sheets can this machine bind for one project?
Asked by Danyale Davis
A:
The Miniwire was able to punch 8-10 sheets of 20# paper at a time. 3:1 twin loop wire spines are available up to 9/16" which can hold 100 - 120 sheets of 20# paper. The MiniWire has been discontinued and is no longer available.

Q:
I can't get the punch to work. What am I doing wrong?
Asked by Phillips W.
'>
A:
The adjustment knob on the side of the machine for the wire closer needs to be all the way open to allow for punching. Sometimes users forget to open it back up after finishing documents and the punch won't work properly. Open it back up and you should be able to punch just fine.

Answered by Mybinding.com 2 years and 6 months ago ago
Q:
How do I adjust the closer?
Asked by Turner
A:
There is a knob on the side of the machine. It is labeled for the most common sizes of wire. However you can adjust it a little bit if needed to make sure you get a nice clean bind. Just be sure to open the knob back up when you are done. The closer needs to be all the way open for the punch to work properly.

Q:
What are the little hooks on the top of the machine for?
Asked by W. Roberts
'>
A:
They are for hanging the wire on while you add your punched pages onto the spine before closing. It can take a bit of practice to get the hang of it but once you do it won't be a problem. Be sure to watch the demo video to see how it works and for tips on making it easier.

Q:
What is the warranty?
Asked by Mitchell S.
A:
The Miniwire comes with a two year warranty. If you have any issues during that time just give us a call and we will help you troubleshoot it and if needed arrange for repair or replacement.

Q:
Where can I find the supplies for the Miniwire?
Asked by V. Carter
A:
You can find a wide selection of Wire Binding Supplies on our site. Just remember that this machine uses 3:1 pitch wire (3 holes per inch). You can choose from a number of different colors and sizes. However, we do not recommend 3/16" wire with this unit. Start with 1/4" for best results.
