Welcome to MyBinding.com. This is the MiniWire 3:1 Pitch Hole Bunch and Wire Binding Machine.

Whether you're binding daily, monthly or yearly, this affordable machine makes wire binding simple and cost effective for you. All MyBinding’s machines are made with high quality, long lasting materials and are backed by a two year warranty for peace of mind. Start by removing the thumbscrew on the right side, slip on the handle and replace the screw. Adjust the left edge stop for the correct size paper and rotate the knob on the left side to the punch position. Then you can punch up to 12 pages of 20 pound paper. There's an easy 11 inch guide for standard paper, and the punch holes are numbered. This particular machine makes 32 square holes standard for wire binding spines. The tab on the left side of the machine is used to set your margins depending on the size of your booklet. Don’t forget to periodically empty the waste tray. Set your binding wire on the hooks on the back of the machine so you can set your pages into the wire as you punch. Once you’re done punching your pages and covers, take the booklet and set it wire down into the crimper. Set the knob to the correct size wire you’re using and depress the lever one last time. You’ve made a perfect wire bound booklet all on your own. Stop paying expensive labor and make perfect booklets on your own time with MyBinding's line of hole punch and binding machines.

Questions & Answers

Yes, you can make calendars with the MINIWIRE Manual 3:1 Pitch Wire Binding Machine. Please see the video at this link for the Black 4" Wire Calendar Hanger - 100pk https://www.mybinding.com/akiles-black-wire-calendar-hanger-100pk.html?sku=94CCALHK4B for the instructions on how to make them. You would punch the holes with the binding machines, and then use the Half moon punch https://www.mybinding.com/akiles-half-moon-calendar-punch-with-guide.html , for the hole for the calendar wire.

Great question! This machine is actually only guaged for about 5 to 8 sheets of 20 LB paper. It would probably do 1 sheet of 18PT chipboard but it would cause a lot of wear and tear on the machine. You can always order your covers pre-punched from us to help make your machine last longer.

Thank you for your question. The MINIWIRE Manual 3:1 Pitch Wire Binding Machine would be able to bind a book with 46 sheets of paper. It uses a 3:1 Twin Loop Wire which are available in sizes up to 9/16" (up to 120 sheets of 20# paper) .

Thank you for your question. The MINIWIRE Manual 3:1 Pitch Wire Binding Machine would be able to punch and bind books 11" wide or smaller. For books smaller than 11" wide you may end up with a half punch on the edge of the sheet because the machine doe not have dies that can disengage.

Thank you for your question. The MiniWire is able to bind documents smaller than letter size but because it does not have the disengageable dies. The least expensive wire binding machine that has disengageable dies is the Tamerica TW3100. You can find that machine here .

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not have a manual machine that is 3:1 and punches a round hole. The only 3:1 Round Hole option that we have would be a die set for a electric modular system.

Thank you for your question. The MINIWIRE Manual 3:1 Pitch Wire Binding Machine will punch holes that will punch holes that are very similar in size to the Papermonster machine. Proclick and 3:1 wire share the same spacing as Proclick but the holes they punch will be a bit smaller in size so it may be a bit snug of a fit for the ProClick spines. There is a dedicated Proclick machines availble that punches larger holes. You can find them here .

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the 3:1 pitch wire binding machines do not have spines available larger than 9/16. To accomplish this you would need a machine to punch 2:1 pitch (21 holes) You can find those here. You can find the supplies, here.

The Miniwire was able to punch 8-10 sheets of 20# paper at a time. 3:1 twin loop wire spines are available up to 9/16" which can hold 100 - 120 sheets of 20# paper. The MiniWire has been discontinued and is no longer available.

The adjustment knob on the side of the machine for the wire closer needs to be all the way open to allow for punching. Sometimes users forget to open it back up after finishing documents and the punch won't work properly. Open it back up and you should be able to punch just fine.

There is a knob on the side of the machine. It is labeled for the most common sizes of wire. However you can adjust it a little bit if needed to make sure you get a nice clean bind. Just be sure to open the knob back up when you are done. The closer needs to be all the way open for the punch to work properly.

They are for hanging the wire on while you add your punched pages onto the spine before closing. It can take a bit of practice to get the hang of it but once you do it won't be a problem. Be sure to watch the demo video to see how it works and for tips on making it easier.

You can find a wide selection of Wire Binding Supplies on our site. Just remember that this machine uses 3:1 pitch wire (3 holes per inch). You can choose from a number of different colors and sizes. However, we do not recommend 3/16" wire with this unit. Start with 1/4" for best results.
