To load staples, lift up on the cover and insert a strip of 1/4” staples. For best results we actually recommend getting rapids premium pack.
If you pull the bottom base apart you can now tack things to walls and other flat surfaces.
To change the staple pad, press on the bottom button and rotate the pad around. The final resulting staples will look like these.
It easily staples up to 20 pages at a time as demonstrated here. I will also note that I used some other staples before using the Rapid premium staples and the results ... Read More

And the bottom pad is a soft rubber, but it doesn’t grip a whole lot.
