Welcome to Royal Sovereign International’s instructional video on how to web the RSC-6500H and the RSC-5500H. An easy to read webbing guide can be found above the pressure adjustment handle. For your convenience, the right side tension handles are in a fixed position while the left side tension handles are adjustable. To web the unit, first remove the upper most shaft bar then slide your shaft bar through your roll of film. Insert the shaft bar into the right or control side tension handle first then slide it into the left tension handle and lock it in place. Now pull the film down and underneath the upper idle bar.

Now feed the film in between the two rollers. Use the adjustable hand crank to lower the rollers. If your prints are smaller than your roll of film, you’ll want to use backing paper. Lift the feed table to gain access to the bottom shaft bars. Now remove the shaft bar by loosening the tension handle. Slide your backing paper onto the shaft bar, lift and lock it in place. Open your rollers so you are able to feed in your backing paper.

Now web your backing paper under the idle bar in through the rollers. Now close your rollers to laminating mode and lower the feed table. Use a pair of scissors or straight edge to score the release liner and begin to peel it away from the film. Be careful not to nick the rollers with your straight edge. Now hold the release liner and run the unit until you have enough excess release liner to tape to the front of the take up shaft. Notice how the release liner is wound in a clockwise direction. To increase tension on the film, adjust the tension breaks. Now you are ready to run your prints through your laminator.
