Product Details

  • Standard SRN-9x and FRN-6 Rotary Numberers: For printers and in plants that want a numbering system that delivers superior print quality, high speed, and precise registration, Standard offers two ways to maximize your productivity and profits: the Standard SRN-9x and FRN-6 rotary numbering systems are quality engineered to meet your most demanding needs.
  • The Fastest Way to Make A Great Impression: The Standard SRN-9x and FRN-6 offer state of the art design, rugged construction and stand alone operation - freeing you from time-consuming numbering on-press. The rotary action delivers tremendous productivity gains versus impact numberers because the sheets don't stop during the numbering operation. The SRN and FRN can number, perforate, score or imprint simultaneously, with up to 8 numbering heads on the SRN and up to 4 heads on the FRN. You can operate forward or backward, convex or parallel heads together. And you can assure sequential numbering because the numbered won't cycle until a sheet is presented. With high productivity - up to 36,000 impressions per hour, and clean, sharp numbering quality, it's no surprise that Standard rotary numberers can make a great impression on your bottom line!
  • Standard Rotary Numberers Delivery Quality, Flexibility And Speed: The key to quality numbering begins with the Standard rotary design. Unlike crash-numbering systems, Standard SRN-9x and FRN-6 rotary systems provide superior print quality even at extremely high speeds. As the head rotates, the numbering head is advanced, re-inked and the number is offset directly to the sheet or set, just as on a press. And, the deflection that can cause shadowing is eliminated because each numbering head is locked into a heavy-duty, precision-ground steel shaft. What's more, the advanced inking system prevents over inking and resultant splash. You can guarantee clear number definition, each through multiple-part sets, by ensuring positive point contact and easy platen pressure adjustment for various stock thicknesses. A sophisticated sensing system can activate up to 8 numbering heads, allowing both parallel and convex heads to be run simultaneously. And, you can repeat, skip, and do multiple numbering without stopping the sheet, giving you an unmatched level of productivity - up to 3600 impressions per hour.
  • Worry-Free Advanced Inking System: The SRN-9x and FRN-6 use principles similar to offset printing to eliminate over inking and ensure clean, consistent quality numbering. A micro-porous ink roller is clean to use, never needs re-inking, and can produce up to several hundred thousand impressions before it needs replacing. Ink is transferred from the micro-porous ink roller onto a form that inks the numbering head. You can even use different colored ink rolls at the same time, a versatility advantage other machines can't provide.
  • Slitting, Perfing, Scoring and More: Standard rotary numberers come complete with perfing and scoring attachments. The slitting perforators give you a flat perforation on a wide range of stocks. And, a variety of perfing, slitting and scoring wheels are available.
  • Full Mobility and Easy Storage: It takes just seconds to remove and hang the fold-away tables of the SRN and FRN, freeing up valuable working space in your shop. And industrial grade castors allow for easy roll-up to production areas, and quick roll-away for space efficient, out of the way storage when machines are not in use.

The Standard FRN6 and SRN-9X rotary numbering machines are ideal alternatives to the on-press numbering that people have done in the past, as well as an ideal upgrade from the impact numbers or letter press numbering operations that you may be using today in your shop. I’d like to now point out the unique patented pro-feed system which is utilized on the FRN6. The FRN6 is able to provide the same registration capabilities and the same efficiency of feeding, utilizing a non-vacuum feed system. You’ll notice that we utilize a 2 roller in-feed system, which allows us to pre-register the sheet to be fed prior to in-feeding it to the nip of the rollers for registration. This means that the shingling, which is required for the feeding process is not critical as it is on most friction feed systems that you may see out in the feed. Here with the pro-feed system, we’re able to efficiently feed either open end or closed end sets. We’ll turn the system on and begin the feed process. As you can see, the sets have been delivered into the delivery area and slit at the same time, providing us with an accurate separation of the two sets into 5 ½ x 8 ½ size invoice forms. Again, the registration is ideal and there’s no risk of damaging the set from the pressure applied on the clamp of a paper guillotine. The system comes standard with a Leibinger numbering boxes. The heads are mounted to a collar, and on the FRN6 we’re able to run up to 4 numbering heads and on the SRN-9X as many as 8 numbering heads. On the FRN6, utilizing the maximum 4 heads or a single head, we’re able to produce up to 6000 sets per hour. We position the head on the collar depending upon where the number is going to fall on the sheet by utilizing the scale, which is located on each one of the collars. For example, if we position the head at 6, that means that the number will fall 6 inches down from the lead edge of the sheet. Positioning of the number on the sheet is accomplished very quickly and easily by the operator. The ink is supplied to the form roller by a micro pores roller which is located directly above that form roller. We’ll remove this roller to illustrate that for you. The micro pores roller works much like an oil light bearing, in that this roller has been impregnated with ink and has very small pores in the surface of the roller. The centrifugal force draws the ink out through the micro pores roller and applies it to the form roller and also provides a milling process on the form roller with each revolution to ensure that we have a good smooth application of ink on the numbering head. These rollers will yield several hundred thousand impressions before they need to be replaced and are available in black and red as standard colors. Because we utilize a system truer to a printing process where the head sweeps by a form roller and replenished on every cycle, and thereby we’re able to achieve a good quality impression on the top sheet because of the ink coverage from the first set to the last. You’ll notice that we have a good, crisp number on the top sheet, the second sheet, and the third sheet of the set. And this can be maintained whether utilizing the parallel or the convex numbering head. The FRN6 and SRN-9X are both cast-mounted. Because they’re cast-mounted, that means that they only need to be taking up valuable working space when they’re in operation. When they’re not in operation they can be rolled off into another area of the shop. The receiving tray on both the FRN6 and the SRN-9X are easily removed when the system is not in use. Convenient hangers are provided on both machines for storage of the delivery tray. And on the FRN6, the pro-feed system can also be removed from the feed end of the system and again hung on the convenient hangers at the back end of the machine so the system can be rolled off into storage and takes up a minimal amount of floor space. Both the FRN6 and SRN-9X are extremely efficient and accurate numbering systems which are ideal for in-plant shops, quick printers, commercial printers, as well as trade binders. The systems produce the high quality that people require in the numbered forms without the skill required for a letterpress operator. It also allows you to free up the valuable press time that maybe being tied up right now by doing numbering online with the offset printing presses. Let the printing presses do what they’re designed to do, which is provide high quality printing, and use an efficient offline numbering system like the SRN-9X or the FRN6 to do your numbering, slitting, scoring and perfing. The FRN6 and SRN-9X would be ideal profit-gaining system to add to your shop today.
