Questions & Answers

We do recommend SF 4 staples but standard staples will also work with this product if you cannot find them.

The outward-facing staples are known as pin staples. They are used to staple papers temporarily as the pin staples can be pulled out easily without the use of a staple remover.

Please make sure that once you close the stapler to use on your desktop again that it is shut all of the way down and clicks. This should make the silver button on the back pop back up.

Underneath the stapler is a shiny metal piece of metal that nearly resembles some sort "pry off" or opener. This is actually a button to release the bottom so that you may use this stapler to tack items to a wall/cork board.

the cap is not locked - just grasp the silver magazine below the cap, and lift up on the cap; it should swing right open. (fun fact - that's where the name Swingline comes from... When that was introduced it was such a hot innovation they named the company after it!)
