Swingline 34121 Long-Reach Stapler Review

A long-reach stapler can be a handy tool to have around the office especially if you want the ability to staple your documents in the middle of the page. One device that can help you do that is the Swingline 34121, one of the best long-reach staplers around. Here are its strengths as well as a couple of minor weaknesses so you can determine if this is the stapler you need.

Strengths:

  • The most unique thing about the 34121 is that it was specially designed for long-reach stapling. When you use this device, you'll be able to staple a full 12 inches away from the edge of the paper. That makes this item perfect for creating booklets and other documents that require stapling in the middle. You can even use the 34121 to staple tags to items which could come in handy around the holidays.

  • The 34121 can staple up to 20 sheets of paper. This is a pretty common stapling capacity and it's good for small jobs.

  • You can fasten the 34121 to your work surface if you wish. Doing so ensures you'll get the job done right the first time because there's no chance of the stapler moving around when you're using it. This device also has a ruler and an adjustable paper guide so you can properly align your documents before fastening them together.

  • This device offers jam-free stapling thanks to its inner rail and performance-driven mechanism. Not having to deal with jams will help you save time and paper. It will also make your workday go more smoothly.

  • The 34121 is compatible with Swingline S.F. 4 Premium staples which are easy to find.

  • This stapler has metal parts so you can expect to get a lot of use out of it. It's extremely durable and will be able to withstand years of use. And it comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

Weaknesses:

  • If you need to fasten more sheets together, you should choose a device with a higher stapling capacity since the 34121 can only fasten 20 sheets together. (If you need to make booklets, a booklet maker would be a good choice.)

  • This device is only available in black. It would be nice if different colors were available.

The Swingline 34121 Long-Reach Stapler is one of the best of its kind on the market. This is a solidly built product that will provide you with years of use. It's great that this device can staple paper right in the middle, so you'll be able to use this stapler for a variety of projects. You'll be able to get the results you need every time you use it thanks to the paper guide and the sturdiness of the device. The stapling capacity could be improved a bit, but it will be fine for everyday jobs. Without a doubt, the 34121 is the one to get if you need a long-reach stapler, so check it out for yourself today.

Check to see if there is any jamming. Open the top of the stapler to expose the magazine. Remove the staple strip and check for jamming near the front. If you see a jam, you can remove the jammed staple, add your staple strip back in and try stapling again.
