Swingline Compact Stapler Review

Swingline is probably the best-known stapler manufacturer in the world and the company makes devices that are perfect for just about every imagine stapling need. One of their smaller models is the Swingline Compact Stapler, a desk device that's great if you need something small. Here's some information about this product including the kind of grade it gets.

  • Honestly, the Compact doesn't have the best stapling capacity around. It can only fasten documents containing a maximum of 15 sheets. This is a lower capacity than you'd typically find in a typical desk stapler. (Those devices can usually staple 20 or 25 sheets together.) However, if your documents tend to be on the short side, this device should be able to get the job done.

  • The Compact is capable of opening up so you can use it for tacking items to a surface such as a bulletin board. This will allow you to avoid using pushpins and it helps make this device versatile.

  • This device has a nice classic look to it. It's available in a few different colors including purple and red. The colors make these products stand out while also making them enjoyable to use. They're a nice change from the standard black and silver staplers that dominate the market and offices across the country.

  • The Compact is compatible with Swingline S.F. 3 Premium staples. These staples are easy to find so you'll never have to spent much time searching for a box of them.

  • If you want something that won't take up a lot of room on your desk, the Compact would an ideal choice. This device is small so you can save some space. Plus, it only weighs 0.4 pounds so you'll be able to transport it easily.

  • This stapler is durable and will be able to handle frequent use. It has metal and high-impact plastic parts so you can count on being able to use it for a long time. (In fact, the stapling mechanism is chrome-plated.) There's even a rubber base that ensures the stapler will stay in one place when you're using it.

  • The Compact is incredibly affordable and has a price point of less than $10.00. Also, it comes with a one-year warranty so it can be fixed or even replaced if the need arises.

Final grade: B+. The Swingline Compact Stapler would be a good choice if you need a small stapler for your desk. This device won't take up very much room at all and it's available in several eye-catching colors to make stapling a little bit more interesting. You'll find that this device is well-made and that it can stand up to frequent use. Its ability to tack items is also great. Nonetheless, you'll need to consider this product's stapling capacity. It will be fine if your documents tend to be short, but it can't handle really thick work. If you have an interest in the Compact, check it out today so you can get started with it soon.

Questions & Answers

Thank you for your question. With the Swingline Compact Stapler you will receive a stapler that is Black, Blue, Platinum or Red. As a "assorted" item you are not able to select the color of the stapler you receive, it will be random.

Great Question! There is a little button on the bottom you can push while pulling the body of the stapler apart. We actually have a great video on this product page if you want to go watch it to get an idea of how to do it.
