- Although Swingline has become famous for their high-quality staplers, they've recently started making paper shredders. Their machines are terrific and are packed with special features. One of them is the LSM09-30, a device that's ideal for offices that deal with a lot of confidential material. We recently got to give this machine a try. Keep reading to find out what features it has and why you should consider getting it for your office.
Features/ Strengths:
- The LSM09-30 is one of those shredders that's ideal for destroying highly classified documents. This is a micro-cut machine that produces some of the tiniest shreds imaginable; they only measure 0.625" x .5". You can shred materials such as medical records, tax returns, and so on and be confident that the information won't be stolen.
- This machine can shred up to 10 sheets at a time and the paper can be up to 10" wide. The cutting mechanism is very durable and can handle CD's and credit cards. Since the device has a continuous-duty motor, you can shred non-stop which will be convenient when you have a lot of items to get rid of.
- Maintaining the LSM09-30 is really easy because its comes with an automatic oiler. This apparatus will oil the shredder at regular intervals so it stays in good shape and you can spend your time doing something more important.
- The LSM09-30 can shut down automatically so you can save electricity if you forget to turn it off. This feature also helps keep the machine from overheating which can do a lot of damage.
- This machine offers jam-free performance so you won't need to waste time clearing up paper jams.
- Using this device couldn't be easier. All of the controls are on top of the machine and they're pretty clearly marked so it's not hard to figure out what each control is for.

Recommendation:
- The Swingline LSM09-30 is a great paper shredder and we were really impressed with it. This machine provides excellent security so you'll be able to protect your identity as well as comply with privacy laws such as the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA). It's great that this device can shred credit cards and CD's, and that you can shred continuously. The waste bin is nice and roomy, so you can share this shredder without any problems.
