Welcome to MyBinding video. This is the Swingline Metallic Black Optima Jam Free Desk Stapler. Out of the box, it doesn’t come with any staples, so you’ll have to purchase either standard or premium SF4 staples or Optima staples. Here I am using Swingline’s premium staples. It’s a tad bulky but has an attractive design and pushing on the middle button at the button disengages the stapler so you can staple against other surfaces. You can change the staple pattern by pushing below the staple pad and rotating it 180 degrees. It can be a little tricky to rotate. You can switch from your standard look to the pegs facing out. Swingline claims that this stapler can staple 25 sheets at a time, so I took 25 and it performed as stated. The real test is in the claim of jam free, so I tried jamming the stapler with more intense usage. I went through 1 staple strip, which is 210 staples and it still didn’t jammed. There’s even a warranty if it does jam with a normal usage and also that jam free sticker does come off, though it may need a little extra scrubbing to get off all the adhesive. Questions & Answers
Q:
You have answered this question 2x..but still doesn't answer the question...how do you reload....merely pulling the top of the stapler doesn't allow new staples to be put in....Please go into more detail...Maybe show a picture as to where staples are put
Asked by Tim
A:
Thank you for your question. The Swingline Optima Jam Free Desk Stapler is like many others to refill but it is a little more sturdy and harder to open. Firmly grasp the bottom and the top at the same time. Pull the top open to fill. You hold the metal portion (silver part between the base and top) and just pull the black top up and back.Towards the end of the demonstration video on the product page it shows the process of loading staples.
