Swingline Optima PowerEase Stapler Review

If you need a new stapler for your office, Swingline has a variety to choose from. One of them is the Optima PowerEase, a device that offers a decent stapling capacity and super easy operation. Here’s everything you need to know about it, including its strengths and weaknesses so you can decide if it would be a good fit for your workplace.

Strengths:

  • The Optima PowerEase can staple documents that have up to 25 pages. This is stapling capacity is a bit larger than the typical 20-sheet one found in most desk staples, so it makes this device stand out. This should be a sufficient stapling capacity for most office documents.
  • This stapler comes with a jam-free guarantee so jams won’t occur very often – if they occur at all. This will save you the hassle associated with jams, including the possibility of your documents getting stuck to the device.
  • The Optima PowerEase is large enough to accommodate full-size staple strips that contain 210 staples. This will help you keep stapling for a long time. When it comes time to reload the device, the QuickLoad feature will make doing so a snap.
  • One of the best things about this stapler is that it’s easy to use. You don’t have to put in a lot of effort to get it work. In fact, you’ll only need to use about 30% of the effort you would use with an ordinary stapler. It even has soft patches that make using it extremely comfortable even when you’ve been stapling for a while.
  • The Optima PowerEase has rubber on the bottom of it so it will stay put when you’re using it. This ensures that your documents will be stapled right the first time.
  • This device has been very well-constructed and it contains metal parts for durability. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty so you can get it fixed or repaired if necessary.

Weaknesses:

  • The 25-sheet stapling capacity won’t cut it if you often work with thick documents. If that’s the case, you show choose a device that can staple more at once.
  • This is a desktop stapler and isn’t really a good choice if you want a device to take with you on-the-go. If that’s what you need, the Swingline Tot or Tot Grip would be better choices.

Overall, the Swingline Optima PowerEase is one stapler that would be a great addition to offices everywhere. The 25-sheet stapling capacity is terrific, especially since other desk staplers can often only staple 20 sheets together. The capacity will be good for general office documents. It’s also great that this device is easy to use and that using it requires much less effort needed to operate a conventional stapler. You won’t get fatigued when using it so you’ll have more energy for other things. You’ll also appreciate this device’s construction and durability. All together, the Optima PowerEase is a great selection if your workplace needs a new stapler.
