    Welcome to my binding video. Today we are looking at the Swingline SmartCut Lite Rotary Trimmer. Designed for work, home and school, the 9412 has been constructed for everyday use. Let's check it out! The 9412 makes it easy to get the cut you need. It has a transparent paper guide so that you can see where exactly you are going to be cutting. There is also an alignment grid with both American and Metric measurements. The product seems sturdy enough to endure much use and with the rubber feet on the bottom, it stays solid without slipping on your work surface. Swingline claims that you can cut up to 10 sheets of 20 pound paper, but in our test this wasn't true. It took us three passes to get through 10 sheets of paper. Perhaps 5 or 6 is really more the maximum. The 9412 is really compact so it will fit easily on any work surface or even fit into a drawer for easy storage. There are a couple of different types of blades you can use with Smartcut Trimmer. In addition to the classic straight blade, you can use perforating and wavy blades as well. These blades allow you to have the look you need for your particular project. Replacement blades and cutting mattes are easily available. With a weight of under 3 pounds and the very small size of this machine, it makes it extremely portable. It's very sharp, be careful. Throw the blade part away and keep the magnet. Open a new container with a new blade and use the magnet to retrieve the blade and place it back onto the machine. Turn it in place until the little plastic handle fits into the plastic notch. Replace the nut onto the screw, tightening it all the way down to the right and place the cover.     A rotary trimmer is a must-have device if you need to quickly make the cleanest cut possible. One that can help you out is the Swingline SmartCut Lite 9412. Here’s some information about it. Be sure to read it so you can determine if this trimmer is right for you.

    • The 9412 has been designed for everyday use in a variety of environments (work, home, school, etc.). It has a 12-inch cutting length so you’ll be able to use it to cut small pieces of paper, as well as letter-sized sheets that measure 8.5” x 11”.
    • The blades you use with this device are made from stainless steel and are actually pretty strong. A blade can slice through up to 10 sheets of 20 lb. paper at once, which is okay if you’re just using the 9412 for occasional use. If you need to process larger stacks of paper on a regular basis, you might want to choose a different trimmer.
