Welcome to MyBinding video. Let’s take a look at Tamerica’s ProCoil-53 Ei, a coil punch binding machine with an electric coil inserter. Quick and easy, this machine is all you need to put together coil-bound or spiral-bound books. It’s built for moderate use, is made of metal so it will last you a long time, and has plenty of flexibility. The side margin control knob allows you to make consistent punches throughout your entire project and every pin is disengageable on this machine so you can punch different punch patterns and different paper sizes. With the open throat design, it’s pretty much limitless. In addition, there’s a multistep depth of margin control knob which allows you to make thinner or thicker margins depending on the size project you’re going to bind. With all your settings in place, it’s time to begin the project. If you begin face-up, make sure you do your entire book face-up. With the covers all punched, let’s do the inside of the book. The ProCoil-53 Ei can handle up to 20 sheets of 20-pound paper in a single punch – and that’s pretty quick given the size of the machine. And the two-handed bar gives you great leverage. With all of your pages punched, it’s time to bind. Assemble the book in order and choose the right sized coil for your project. There is a graph on the front of the machine that helps you make that right decision. Initiate the coil onto the spine with a few twists, turn on the power on the back, the electric coil inserter will ride it right down through the spine all the way to the end. With the coil clipping pliers provided with the machine, crimp off both ends and your book is all set. All of the punched chips fall into the tray that is just below and is accessed from the front of the machine. There it is, that’s the ProCoil-53 Ei by Tamerica.
