Transcript: This is the Rapid K1 Classic Plier Stapler!

First we’re going to load the staples in. It’s a very interesting design: release the staple tension rod, insert your full strip of 1/4” staples, or 5/16” sized staples.

It makes quick, successive stapling easy.

For an inverted staple, rotate this base plate around. Honestly, like many staplers, it didn’t work that well when I used it this way, so we recommend sticking with the normal approach.

And you do have some options in color!...

Stapling Different Materials

Transcript: In this video we’ll be stapling several different materials and amounts to test out the Rapid K1 Stapler.

Just to test, I tried a heavy duty staple—it jammed. Don’t use heavy duty staples!

Instead I used these Rapid 26/8 staples.

For the first test, I tried 2 layers of cardboard. Do note that this is not the thickest kind of cardboard you can find. Either way, as long as it fits in the opening, it will staple through cardboard just fine. It could, however, indent the cardboard.

Next up is two, thick plastic cards. And it does just fine. Add in a layer of cardboard and the results are still looking pretty good!

Now we’ll try 1 foam core project, a laminate sheet, and 2 chipboard cards. Again, this is no problem for this stapler and staples.

Now for a more serious test—20 linen covers. These are decently thick covers. It does go through almost all of them, but not for a finished staple. I tried 15 covers with the same results. Once I got it down to nine, the staple came out perfectly.

Another test of limits is the PVC cards. These are some pretty dense and rigid cards, basically these are blank ID cards. Trying two and the stapler is no match for the cards. But bring it down to one card and a linen sheet and it goes through like nothing was there!
