Inside the box is the keypad itself, instruction booklet, blank disc and a battery. The battery goes into the machine on the backside, simple, and close the door. The blank disc itself goes in the top. It's on this disc that you'll record and save your custom greetings and messages. Xyron has created a number of font and design discs that you slide into the bottom of the machine. Now, simply type in your message or your greeting, save it to the disc, power it down, remove the disc from the top by pushing down and popping it out and then load that right into your design runner. Then when your selection is there, just hide the size, and whether or not you want a single print or a continuous border style print. Five Things That Make the Xyron Design Runner Worthwhile
One of the coolest crafting tools you can buy is the Xyron Design Runner. This is a really intriguing device that’s essentially a small, hand-held computer that can print designs and lettering on a number of surfaces. This is a product that is ideal for people who love to craft and it would definitely be a great addition to the supply cabinets of scrapbooks, designers, woodworkers, and other creative people. That said, here are the five things that make this product worthwhile.
- It is all in the palm of your hand. One of the great things about the Design Runner is its small size. This is a computerized printer that you can hold right in your hand and it’s powered by batteries, making it extremely portable. This way, you’re not stuck at home with this product. You can take it with you wherever you go.
- Tons of different designs. This product allows you to print a plethora of different designs on just about any item you choose. You can print on materials as diverse as fabric, paper, and wood, and you can create borders, text, and single designs.
