Air pillows are strong for void fill, but they are not the right protection for every shipment. They help stop products from moving inside cartons and keep packages lightweight. Fragile items, sharp edges, delicate finishes, or products that need surface protection may still need bubble wrap, foam, paper, or another material around the item itself. Air pillows work best after the product is already protected and the empty carton space needs to be filled. For mixed packing stations, build a small material guide showing when to use pillows, paper, foam, or wrap. Broader protective packaging can support those cases when one material is not enough.
