Single Reverse Collated Copier Tabs

Mylar-coated tabs add a toner-receptive plastic layer over the printed tab, which provides a wipe-clean surface and meaningfully more durability under repeated handling compared to plain paper tabs. For documents that get pulled, flipped through, and referenced often — active case files, training manuals, or frequently updated reports — the added durability of Mylar coating is worth the modest price increase. For a document that's assembled once and rarely revisited afterward, plain paper tabs perform the same function at a lower cost without a meaningful downside.

Reinforcing the binding edge adds extra strength specifically to the side that gets punched and bound, which matters most for documents that will be opened and closed frequently or stored in a three-ring binder long-term, since repeated handling is what causes tabs to tear at the punched holes over time. For a document that's bound once and kept mostly closed in storage, the added reinforcement provides less practical benefit. For broader index tab formats built for that kind of frequent-handling binder use, index tabs for binding covers related styles worth comparing.

Mixing single reverse collated blank tabs with pre-printed tabs works fine functionally, since both are typically compatible with the same standard binding and hole patterns, but the visual result can look inconsistent if the fonts, colors, or tab styles don't match closely. For a document where visual polish matters — client presentations or formal reports — sticking to one tab style throughout keeps the finished look uniform. For internal working documents where consistency matters less than function, mixing styles to use up existing stock is a practical way to avoid waste. For colored options in this same copier-tab format, colored Mylar copier tabs cover that range.
