ProductDescription

These high quality Black 3:1 Pitch Twin Loop Wires are some of the best wire binding spines on the market today. Also called Wire-O, WireBind, and Double Loop Wire, these black 3:1 pitch elements let pages lie flat with 360 Degrees rotation for convenient note-taking and photocopying as well as provide a permanent bind to your documents--meaning your pages stay secure and protected. Not only that, but these black 3:1 pitch wire spines look a tad more refined than a plastic comb or spiral coil. These black 3:1 pitch twin loop wires come open in a "C" shape, allowing you to insert the spines into your punched pages and then simply use your wire binding machine or wire closer to finish your books.

Good product Review by Elissa

The product is good quality, but the markup is slightly more than other companies I have found. And they were not able to do a price match.

A few wire was not perfectly line up with the paper holes. I have to shift the paper left/right to align it. Overall it is very nice and good quality.

It is important that your wire works with your punch and wire binding machine. First check what type of wire your machine uses before purchasing and that is twin loop wire. Questions & Answers
Q:
I'm making song books for a small group of people my book is 9 by 11 it will hold probably I need it to hold about 150 to 200 songs and I this is my first time I don't have a lot of cash but I want to do the best way can you help me with that
Asked by janh45@yahoo.com
A:
We have many options for cheap binding. You can always order coil for your books and get pre-punched paper. Wire unfortuantely cannot be closed without a wire closer but if you did want to stick with wire, another option would be getting one of our Mybinding labeled machines. They do only punch 5 or so sheets at a time but they are great for low volume binding. Feel free to type in MINIWIRE in the search bar. If you still need assistance, please contact us at 800-944-4573.

Q:
What length are the wires. Could I do an 11 inch long book
Asked by C. R.
A:
These wires are designed for binding 8.5" x 11" letter sized documents on the 11 inch side of the book so you should be all set. They have 32 loops for use with a 3:1 pitch hole pattern (3 holes per inch) and will work with any standard 3:1 pitch wire binding machine. If you do end up needing a different length of wire we can custom make them. However, most of our customers order these.

Q:
Is twin-loop wire the same as wire-o wire ?
Asked by G. OWENS
A:
Yes there are actually a number of different names for Wire binding spines. Some of the most common are Twin Loop Wire, Wire-O, Double Loop Wire, Ring Wire and WireO. These all mean the same thing and should work in any standard wire binding machine. Just make sure you choose a spine with the right number of loops and pitch (holes per inch) to match your hole pattern.

Q:
What is the thickness of the wire?
Asked by P. GRAHAM
A:
The thickness or gauge of these twin loop wires actually varies depending on the diameter/size of wire that you choose. Smaller wires use lighter gauge wire so that they can be formed and closed accurately while larger diameters require thicker gauges of wire to maintain their shape when binding heavier documents.

Q:
The largest size on the guide is 9/16 but my book is slightly larger. (Just a few pages!) Do you have any suggestions?
Asked by F. FORD
'>
A:
Unfortunately 3:1 pitch wire is only available in sizes up to 9/16". If you need to bind a few documents that are larger than this you have a couple of options if you don't want to purchase a new machine. Proclick binding also uses a 3:1 pitch and is available in sizes up to 5/8". Or you can order a box of 3:1 pitch spiral coil which is available in sizes up to 2 inches. Either way you won't need to buy a new machine. With coil you might want a pair of crimping pliers or if you are doing a small run you can just use a pair of needle nose pliers from the toolbox.
