It has a safety protection system, which prevents anything other than paper from entering the machine and, if that happens, the machine will stop automatically. This unit is also equipped with an energy saving mode which turns the unit off after one hour of inactivity. Again, the 2339C from Fellowes, the world’s toughest shredders.
